OMG this looks great. I was never much on the original "Day of the Triffids" but this could be amazing.
"In the not too distant future, man's search for an alternative fuel supply leads him to uncover the ominous Triffid, a crop now cultivated for its fuel that seems to have a life of its own. The slightly modernized two part mini-series was written by Patrick Harbinson of ER and Law & Order fame and is currently in production to air later this Summer 2009.
