Magnolia Hall- Natchez MS (ghost photo?)
This is a POSSIBLE picture of a ghost. Look up at the portrait to the right of the mantel, and you will see what appears to be water damage on the wall. However, this is not damage to the wall, but rather a picture of something that is going on IN FRONT of the mirror, because if you look in the mirror, YOU WILL SEE A REFLECTION OF IT! View this photograph in the 480 x 640 size, and you will be better able to see what I'm talking about.
(NOTE: I do NOT claim that this is an actual photograph of a real ghost. There may be a plausible explantion for what is going on in the picture. For example, it could have been caused by the light from the chandelier to the right reflecting off the mirror)
Thomas Henderson, the original owner of Magnolia Hall, died on March 6, 1863 in the downstairs bedroom of his home as the result of a paralytic stroke. His body was carried out and laid to rest in the Natchez City Cemetery, but it seems his spirit never left his beautiful house. Tour guides and volunteers speak of of mysterious footsteps, shadows, and flickering lights.
Back in the blue bedroom where Mr. Henderson passed away, housekeepers would find indentations in the bed that had been made earlier in the day and the impression of a head in the pillows. It kept happening until the house manager insisted on taking on the task herself - but the same thing happened to her.
One evening when the house manager was closing up and locking the door, she felt something staring at her. When she turned, she saw a "great shouldered, shadowy figure" standing at the top of the stairs.
A paranormal investigation group came in to check the place out one evening. Six of them were standing in Henderson's bedroom, and one asked, "Did anyone die in here?" Suddenly, the outside shutters began banging. During the investigation, the light in the main parlor flipped on and off three times, and the piano started banging as if someone was pounding the keys. Another investigator sat on the bed and played the guitar to try to bring out his spirit; his friends were videotaping it, and when the tape was played back, there was a purple ball of light dancing over his head the entire time.
The Natchez Garden Club members who staff Magnolia Hall as volunteers and tour guides do not feel that the ghost or ghosts are evil, however. Rather, they believe the ghosts like to see that everything is going well, and that they are very pleased.
Dawn of the dead 1978-3D treatment
George A. Romero's classic 1978 zombie flick Dawn of the Dead is being "dimensionalized" into stereoscopic 3D for a theatrical re-release sometime within the next 12 months. A company called In-Three will use its proprietary conversion technique to turn the film into 3D, a process which costs upwards of $50,000 to $100,000 per minute. The Nightmare Before Christmas has been the only other movie to similarly be converted from its original 2D format into 3D. With around 1000 3D-ready digital screens in the US, this conversion may become a huge success when it eventually hits theaters. Although I'm not the biggest fan of 3D, I'll admit that the idea of seeing Dawn of the Dead in 3D is very tempting.
In-Three's Neil Feldman justifies the idea, saying, "we are seeing interest now that people realize there will be sufficient screens to justify the cost." In-Three uses patented software tools and techniques to create a second camera image from a 2D image. Each frame is "dimensionalized," meaning that all objects are moved forward or backward from the screen or in relation to one another so as to achieve the desired dramatic effect. Dawn of the Dead's conversion is expected to be completed within the year.
It- remake
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stephen King's It is next in line for a remake. Warner Brothers in association with Lin Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment is starting to put the remake together. They have already announced a Director, Dave Kajganich, who has previously remade Pet Semetary and has written The Invasion as well as the upcoming Escape From New York redux.
No real details on any plot changes except it will take place in present day instead of split between 1958 and 1985. No word yet on any potential actors for the film but I'm sure we will have more details as this one surfaces.
"It" follows seven youths that have grown up and have to defeat a demonic creature named Pennywise which dresses in a clown suit and terrorized a town in Maine since they were children.
Orphan- 2009
The tragic loss of their unborn child has devastated Kate and John, taking a toll on both their marriage and Kate’s fragile psyche as she is plagued by nightmares and haunted by demons from her past. Struggling to regain some semblance of normalcy in their lives, the couple decides to adopt another child. At the local orphanage, both John and Kate find themselves strangely drawn to a young girl named Esther. Almost as soon as they welcome Esther into their home, however, an alarming series of events begins to unfold, leading Kate to believe that there’s something wrong with Esther—this seemingly angelic little girl is not what she appears to be. Concerned for the safety of her family, Kate tries to get John and others to see past Esther’s sweet facade. But her warnings go unheeded until it may be too late…for everyone.
The film, produced by Warner Brothers and starring Vera Farmiga, Peter Sarsgaard, and Isabelle Fuhrman, is set to drop July 24, 2009.
Breathers: A Zombie's Lament 2011
Based on a novel by S.G. Browne. Meet Andy Warner, a recently deceased everyman and newly minted zombie. Resented by his parents, abandoned by his friends, and reviled by a society that no longer considers him human, Andy is having a bit of trouble adjusting to his new existence. But all that changes when he goes to an Undead Anonymous meeting and finds kindred souls in Rita, an impossibly sexy recent suicide with a taste for the formaldehyde in cosmetic products, and Jerry, a twenty-one-year-old car-crash victim with an exposed brain and a penchant for Renaissance pornography.
When the group meets a rogue zombie who teaches them the joys of human flesh, things start to get messy, and Andy embarks on a journey of self-discovery that will take him from his casket to the SPCA to a media-driven class-action lawsuit on behalf of the rights of zombies everywhere.
Mud Zombies

According to GoArticles.com Brazil gets into the zombie world with their first entry, the simply titled Mud Zombie, an old-fashioned zombie movie about a small fishing village that get overrun by zombie emerging from the mangroves. While the only trailer to be found is in Portuguese with Spanish subtitles, and looks a little on the cheap side, let's remember they are zombies MADE OUT OF MUD. Aren't you curious too?
Gallowalkers
When a nun broke her covenant with God to save the life of Aman, her unborn son, he was cursed for life. As an adult, Aman (Wesley Snipes) has killed those who have crossed him. But his curse brings his victims back to life, and as the undead, they pursue him endlessly for revenge. Forever suffering this curse, Aman enlists Fabulos (Smith), a young gunman, to fight by his side against his undead victims.
